My favorite venue in Seattle
I agree with the reviewer who said, "This is not a small club," because it isn't. It isn't a huge club either. In fact, that is why I like it. It is just the right size. It has a large floor for a standing crowd or seating, a huge stage, and a bar on either side for those who would rather sit. It can get very warm, but this place has a better setup than any other venue I've been to in Seattle. - Ian , posted 12/10/06

small my ass
I agree with the first reviewer, but The Showbox is not a small club. Contour is a small club. Watertown is a small club. One star taken off because The Showbox seriously lacks proper ventilation. Sometimes it gets so hot and humid in there that people's swass will collect on the ceiling and it will start raining on you.

best places to see a live show
I have seen many bands play at the showbox. The best part of going to a show at the showbox is that it is a small club which actually makes it fun. If you go to the bar on the left side of the club it is almost like having a front row seat. They also have a great list of concerts for the year . Check it out in the stranger. - Ishmael , posted 05/21/06
