As a young adult, I was speaking with a former youth minister about co-dependency. His statement to me was, "co-dependency is ok as long as it's with god". I was horrified by this statement, and later learned why when I came across this book. This book has been around for years, but it is so important for the world. God, Religion, even NewAgism, become a drug to the addict-tendencied mind. And that drug, needs just as many 12 steps to healing, as any street drug or gambling addiction.
