My favorite Seattle restaurant
I love Thai food. Racha (on Queen Anne) used to be my favorite, but then they got expensive, less fresh, and their level of service declined.
Kwanjai Thai is now first on my list. Unpretentious, incredibly fast, rarely not perfectly fresh, extremely good prices for Thai food in Seattle--the cheapest I've seen, actually. I eat there at least once a month, in a bad month.
If you're looking for fancy decor and atmosphere, or "excessively hot" as a "flavor" look elsewhere. But if you want excellent Thai food straight up, go to Kwanjai's! (She's the owner.)
My favorite dishes: Phad See Ew with prawns, Special Noodle (peanut sauce and wide rice noodles with vegetables -- I usually pick only spinach and broccoli) with prawns, and the Pineapple Fried Rice.
