Not great, but not bad.
First of all, the sushi isn't bad at all. I've had much worse. Really though, this is pretty basic, average, everyday sushi with a unique atmosphere. There is always a wait to get in at the U-District branch. The last time I went there I waited about 1 1/2 hours, maybe a little longer. The non-sushi dishes were sub-par, I wouldn't even go near them. The sushi, on the other hand, was fresh and rivaled 70% of sushi places I've been to.

Last but not least, this place has absolutely no bang for your buck. You are paying an awful lot for what you get. I attribute this to the atmosphere. I felt very comfortable inside. I felt like the wait staff was extremely friendly, I felt that the chef's knew what they were doing, and I left confident that I wouldn't be sick the next day.

In conclusion, a good sushi restaurant, but there has got to be better somewhere in Seattle... - Ian , posted 12/10/06

interesting atmosphere, okay sushi.
blue-c sushi features the japanese idea of kaiten sushi, or "kurukuru" zushi (sushi served via conveyor belt).

i have been to both the fremont and U village locations and they are both about the same.
somewhat mod atmosphere with anime or footage of japan projected on the walls.

foods such as tempura, gyoza, katsu, spicy tofu and sesame noodles, as well as various nigiri sushi and rolls rotate through the restraunt on a conveyor belt on price-color coded plates. eat what you want, stack your plates and they add it up.

i agree with the previous reviewer that often the nigiri seems as though it has been rotating awhile. i tend to order nigiri and rolls direct and stick with the prepared foods from the belt.
you can even order completely from the menu if you prefer.

overall a neat place....good for an impromptu sushi fix. - Unsubscribed , posted 11/14/06

Not bad for pre-fab sushi
My Bf and I eat at the Blue C in Fremont, so much that the hostesses know his name. I like the place because it's easy to get what I want whether it's based on price or what I'm craving and the staff is great! Their drinks are tasty and creative and they have Sapporo (sp?) on tap.

As far as "traditional sushi" in concern it falls a little short. I tend to eat the rolls because the nagiri has usually gone around the belt a few times. I loved the variety before they began just serving the popular stuff and you had to ask for the unusual things. The only thing that really keeps this place from being 5 stars in my book is my predjudice towards pre-fab sushi, I mean they have a machine that spits out little rice turds for christ's sake. - Jezebel , posted 09/29/06

Sushi with attitude
Blue C Sushi has an odd atmosphere to be sure, but it has an air of quirkiness.
And what better combination could there be than a sushi bar mixed with an internet cafe? - Tim , posted 02/28/06
