Technical Editor-Writer Lead (Seattle)

Attenex has an immediate opening for an experienced lead technical editor ready to take on the challenge of editing and writing for the engineering and customer services teams. Our ideal candidate will lead a small (3-4 person) team of experienced technical and programming writers (while contributing some small amount of writing) and act as an editor to enforce corporate communication standards. This is an excellent opportunity to design, develop and maintain product documentation for Attenex's innovative electronic discovery products, as well as standardize and normalize customer engagement documents. Attenex is a small company, so your work is critical to the success of our product line... no slackers!


Requirements
* Bachelors degree in journalism, English, technical communications, a related field, or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years experience technical writing or editing for software products
* 2+ years as a lead or manager
* Working knowledge of MS Windows operating system and its documentation
* Clear understanding of software development life cycle
* Agile / Scrum development methodology experience preferred
