Are you passionate about technology? We have an exciting new role for an experienced Technical Architect! This team has a new business initiative to develop new business IT tools and need a Technical Architect to break-down the business requirements into projects, work with the Sr. Dev Lead and PM and will manage anywhere from 10 - 25 team members. Must have 10 - 12 years of experience in Software Development, with 3 years of software architecture experience (strong preference for experience designing IT tools). If you enjoy being a pioneer and getting in at the start up of a new initiative then this gig's for you!
Critical Soft Skills:
* This person will greatly impact the success of this organization as they move into a new business area
* Experience designing enterprise scale applications is definitely helpful, but they should be eager to design IT Tools and focused on driving the initiative forward for the team.
* They should have the mind-set of developing IT tools in a fast-paced manner; should be able to turn on dime from a methodology perspective.
* Creative and innovative thinking
* Demonstrated experience leading by influencing and working effectively across groups
Must Have Technical Skills:
* 10-12+ years of experience in Software development
* 3+ years of software architecture experience with a strong preference for experience designing IT tools
* Demonstrated experience working on a diverse set of technological issues at a strategic level
* Technical experience may span Java, C++ or another OO language, but must have at least 2+ years experience with C# 2.0 as a minimum and the .NET Framework
* 2+ years experience designing SQL Server databases with 4+ years of SQL Server development experience, including performance considerations
* Experience prototyping .NET applications, tools, etc. and owning / driving development through the SDLC.
* Some experience designing a multi-threaded application is required, but does not need multi-threaded development experience
* Web-service dev experience is a must
* Strong ability to implement Object Oriented solutions
* Experience writing secure code
* Team-based development experience
* Familiarity with source code tools/process, bug tracking, code reviews, and other common development activities.
* Experience in n-tier architecture
Plusses:
* SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) application design/development
* Thorough understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle
* Experience with the MS internal security review process
* Experience with unit testing framework
