Seeking a nice place in the west.... (Seattle)

Looking to live in the Ballard region of seattle. We are a fun and somewhat tame group with no pets or kids. We drive electric vehicles, make our own electricity and we are really wanting to plant a garden. Idealy we would like to find a remodel barter or help create a warm sense of space whatever the situation becomes. We are long term residents of seattle and wish to be west of the freeways, willing to live in mother in law/ garage conversion/ straw bale guest house that we could build this summer.
